Making Your Calling Your Career- a panel

Join us Wednesday, October 3rd, at Column Five HQ for our panel on Making Your Calling Your Career. A common thread in our creative community seems to be the need to do work we’re passionate about. We’ll be talking to three amazing panelists about how they created the career they could believe in. Our panelists include:

Michele Lujan
Michele Lujan is co-founder of HomeBless, a project of Faces of Santa Ana non-profit, that renovates housing for people who were previously experiencing homelessness. She is a wife and mother to three living in Santa Ana, Ca. http://merch.facesofsantaana.com/homebless

Natacha Cabrera:
What started as spending time & painting nails with her best friend (who was battling a neuromuscular disease & cancer) turned into Natacha launching Restore____.  Inspired by her friends journey, Natacha wanted to start a brand that would create community and help people stand together through hard times. Each month a new nail polish color is sent out to support and help raise awareness for a different cause/topic. Topics have ranged from mental health, human trafficking, infertility, homelessness, body image, pregnancy & infant loss, addiction, sexual violence and more. A portion of each months proceeds are then donated to a non-profit working towards the cause of the month. www.restoreblank.com

Jason Mercado:
Jason Mercado, CEO of Sweet Mission Cookie Company, is an award winning businessman (2015 American Small Business Championship Winner) and mentor. His story of overcoming adversity and starting his own company out of his passion for baking has been featured in everything from Forbes Magazine to the OC Register. Sweet Mission Cookie Company makes delicious cookies, but they also offer jobs and training to individuals with challenging pasts to get a second chance at life and start their own businesses.https://sweetmissioncookieco.weebly.com
