Paco de Leon of The Hell Yeah Group talks financials for creatives and small businesses
February 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Join us at Wayfare, a beautiful co-working space in Costa Mesa, on Wednesday, February 1st at 7pm to hear Paco share her best financial lessons and advice. She’ll also take questions from the audience! So come with your best ones.
According to a survey, more than 40 percent of small business owners identify financially illiterate. You might be one of them! It’s hard keeping up with the complexities of taxes and bookkeeping when you’re a freelancer or running a small business. Seeing a need in the market, Paco de Leon came to the rescue and founded The Hell Yeah Group. Paco believes “everyone deserves a financial friend.” That’s why she started The Hell Yeah Group. She explains: “Here at the Hell Yeah Group, we help creatives make weekly progress on understanding their finances because it’s feels so damn good to not be in the dark about it.” Through courses, articles, workshops, and an awesome newsletter, she does just that. Her company has been featured in New York Magazine, Bossladies magazine, The Cut, and on Xero’s own blog.
Paco is a musician who happens to be killer at finance. She has spent most of her career working with creatives who also do business. Her experience ranges from business consulting, business management, financial planning, wealth management and she even spent some time at a big, evil bank. She lives in Echo Park neighborhood in sunny Los Angeles with her wife Jenn. She plays in a band called Sweet Bump It and rides her bike nearly every day. She is also the founder of a boutique bookkeeping company called Hell Yeah, Bookkeeping and a co-founder of the arts-based non profit organization, Allies in Arts.
