A graduate of the BFA Graphic Design Program at California State University Long Beach, Jeff has locally exhibited work as well as designed merchandise for local companies and his own online shop.
Tricia Kami is a southern California native and grew up an Angels baseball fan. She obtained a BFA in Graphic Design from Chapman University. She’s worked in a variety of industries as a graphic designer, everything from entertainment (Warner Bros.) to furniture (Living Spaces), and also spent several years freelancing and teaching graphic design at a high school in Anaheim. She is now a graphic designer for the LA Angels which combines her passion for baseball and graphic design.
J Alexander Diaz is the Associate Creative Director and photographer of the Los Angeles Lakers. He always knew he wanted to be a designer, and yet spent way too many years in college, eventually taking home his BFA in Graphic Design from California State University, Long Beach. J has spent the past 7 years helping build and develop the Lakers visual brand, overseeing design and playing an integral part of their social media and digital presence. When he’s not busy living and breathing all things basketball and popular culture, J’s favorite days are spent with his wife and mini-bernedoodle.
Marcus McDougald joined LAFC in April 2015 and has been involved in almost every creative extension of the Club since its inception. From identity development and jersey design to stadium interior design and content, Marcus thrives on the diversity of creative challenges. Prior to LAFC Marcus worked on the creative teams at YouTube, RED Camera, College Humor, Funny or Die, and over 500+ commercial, music video, documentary, and narrative projects. Marcus attended UC Santa Barbara where he studied Communication and Fine Arts before heading to Columbia College Chicago where he studied Cinematography and Black Studies.
Amy Hood is a Principal Designer and one half of the twin duo that founded Hoodzpah, Inc, a boutique brand identity and strategy agency in the sunny hills of Southern California. Amy’s logo and identity work centers around custom lettering solutions. She is the font designer behind Palm Canyon Drive and Beale, and is currently working on her next release, Beverly Drive. When she is not spewing Lakers stats at the local watering hole, Amy can be found designing knick knacks for Odds and Sods (Hoodzpah’s goods line), or driving up PCH – wailing along to honky tonk love songs – looking for the closest In-N-Out. She is a co-founder of the creative meet up, #ConnectingThings (with chapters in TX, CO, KY, and CA) and co-authored the book “Freelance, and Business, and Stuff: A Guide for Creatives” (#FABAS) with her sister Jennifer based on the Professional Practices class they taught at Laguna College of Art & Design.
